Lab Case Requirements

1. A impression or scan that captures 4mm of tissue beyond the gingival margin. (Connect your Scanner)

2. A lab script (request below if needed) with the patient's information, date due back and doctor signature.

3. The patient's most recent periodontal chart.

4. If you are scanning, you can sent the chart or Rx via

**24 Hours**

We strive to provide prompt service.  If a patient's perio charting is not received within 24 hours of the scan being received at the lab, a Universal Seal will be made. This ensures a timely delivery back to your office so your patients can start treatment as quickly as possible.

What is the status of my case?

All cases have a digital alert sent to your e-mail address that we have on file when we receive the case. If you aren't getting these alerts, please email support@perio-protect.com and we will help. 

 

When will I receive my case back?

5-7 business days from arrival the case will be delivered to your office. Please remember your case will be delivered to the address that is on the script.

 

What is the difference between Perio Gel™ and Perio GelX?

Both formulations contain 1.7% hydrogen peroxide as the active ingredient and have a pleasant mint taste. The only difference is flavoring. Perio GelX™ is flavored with xylitol.

 

I need to schedule a pick-up

Call your local UPS or FedEx store or drop it off.

 

My patient lost their trays. Can they be remade? Is there a cost?

Any time patients need new trays (or just one new tray), the second set is discounted significantly. Please call for current pricing 314-256-0772

 

Should I use alginate or PVS impression material?

You can use the best materials for your office. Simply follow the manufacturers guidelines. If you use alginate and pour your models, be sure to wrap them carefully to protect them in transit.

 

Why is our case on hold?

We put cases on hold is because of quality concerns we have with what we received. We always want to send the best to your patients and if we feel we cannot do that we will leave the judgment call up to you. If there is a reason why we cannot guarantee the fit of the tray we will make that known when we contact you. If your account has a past due balance,  you need to reach out to the central office at 314-256-0772 to pay that balance allowing us to process the case.

Have you received my case?

Please check to see if you received a case alert from our lab. Inside that email there is a link that gives you access to a secure portal with tracking, notes, and all of the information you need for your case. It keeps track of cases over a 30 day period.
